An offshore sector technology company says it is primed to “reduce project risk and enhance safety and performance” with “game-changing” new apparatus.
Osbit has launched software package Tailwind.
Bosses at the Riding Mill-based firm say the asset management and performance insight tool will “increase project uptime and reduce costs, while supporting safe operations”.
Brendon Hayward, joint managing director, said: “Everyone is under pressure in the offshore wind industry, and the drive towards risk reduction is crucial to supporting our industry’s future success.
“We’ve delivered hundreds of engineering projects through the years, and have learned so much about our customers pain points when it comes to data and asset management.
“The obvious solution was to bring all their distributed data together in a way they can rapidly learn and drive genuine improvement.”
Meanwhile, the company has secured a contract with Netherlands-based N-Sea to deliver equipment for offshore cable repair and installation.
Jurgen Zijlmans, Osbit general manager in the Netherlands, added: “This system will lead the way in cable repairs, paving the way towards a more renewable and sustainable future for us all.”
