Double award success as growth continues for Activ technology
March 11, 2019
Newcastle-based Activ technology has been announced double award winners by leading mobile network provider O2, as growth soars.
Activ, which has been an O2 direct partner since 2011, won the O2 Customer Excellence Award and the O2 Digital Award.
Formed in 2010, the company has 30 staff and is a managed service provider for IT and telecommunications across the North of England and Scotland.
The first quarter of 2019 has seen its technology revenues rise 37% compared to the same period in 2018. Total company revenue is 16% higher in comparison to quarter one in 2018.
Having opened its first office outside of the North East in Dumfries, Scotland in November 2018, the team has welcomed a plethora of new customers onto its IT platform.
Managing director, Ian Gillespie, said: “We operate in a competitive market but we are seeing growth across all divisions – mobile, unified communications, energy and, in particular, IT. We predict further growth as we look to attract new customers and retain those that are already loyal to us.
“Most importantly, our people are our greatest asset and how we treat them is reflected in the exceptional service we deliver to our customers.
“To scoop not one but two top O2 awards is fantastic recognition not just for the company but, in particular, for our internal mobile account team consisting of Emma Gillespie, Marie Lunt and Lauren Robison and our new business sales teams.”
The O2 Customer Excellence Award saw the company ranked number one among all of the O2 direct partners, having achieved an industry leading churn rate of only 6%. This is based on a metric that measures the number of disconnections relative to the average number of O2 mobile connections on the base.
For the O2 Digital Excellence Award Activ achieved 102% of the set target and was scored for having at least one trusted digital advisor and 80% of the customer-facing personnel passing the O2 online digital learning assessment.
Ian Gillespie, added: “We are looking forward to travelling to London at the end of March where we will be presented with the awards. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the business for their continued hard work, it does not go unnoticed.”
