Gateshead’s Aspire Technology Solutions grows with Cloud Cover IT deal

An IT support firm says it is ready to write a “new and exciting chapter” after completing a takeover.

Gateshead’s Aspire Technology Solutions has bought Cloud Cover IT.

It says the deal for the Glasgow-based operator will catalyse UK market growth and product expansion.

Under the terms of the agreement, Cloud Cover IT has become part of the Aspire group, with its software development and business applications division rebranded as Flyte.

Chris Fraser, chief executive and founder of Aspire, which provides cybersecurity, cloud and managed services support, said: “This will strengthen our presence in Scotland, positioning us in a thriving market.
