Guisborough’s C-Tech Solutions on growth trail after six-figure UKSE support

A fibre optic cabling firm has pledged to create jobs as it seeks to make more market connections following six-figure investment.

C-Tech Solutions wants engineers and an apprentice after UKSE backing.

Bosses say the deal has supported a director buyout, which will allow the business to move “to the next stage”.

Based in Guisborough, east Cleveland, the company designs, delivers and maintains integrated networking systems, cabling and associated technologies across the UK and Europe, operating across sectors including defence, construction, health, education and retail.

Mike Empson, C-Tech Solutions’ managing director, said: “We have grown steadily, despite economic difficulties, and are now back to pre-COVID-19 levels with a very healthy order book and plenty in the pipeline.

“We have a team of 15, having just taken on four engineers, two apprentices and an operations manager.

“And we’re planning to take on another four engineers and a third apprentice in the next few months.

Peter Taylor, business development manager at UKSE, which is the Tata Steel business-support subsidiary, said: “C-Tech Solutions is an excellent example of a business with a strong growth plan.

“Investment and advice for growing businesses is out there, and we always welcome the opportunity to discuss projects.”

C-Tech Solutions was introduced to UKSE by accountant Milner Smeaton.

John Milner, of the Stockton-based firm, added: “We have worked with the business for a number of years, and were pleased to introduce it to UKSE.

“Working as part of a team to support a business is a positive experience, and we are looking forward to seeing C-Tech’s growth plan develop.”
