Melius Cyber ‘commits to excellence’ with quality standards

A cybersecurity firm says it has reiterated its “commitment to industry excellence” after securing key operational benchmarks.

Melius Cyber has renewed ISO/IEC 27001 – the global standard for information security management systems – and added QMS 9001 for quality management for a further three years.

Richard Brown, chief executive at the Newcastle-based business [pictured, above], said: “As a cybersecurity organisation, it is important we practice what we preach and ensure we consistently safeguard information security assets, including customer and employee personal data.

“The ISO certification demonstrates our commitment to this.

“As the world continues to operate digitally, and the integration between businesses grows, it is essential to continue building trust and credibility with customers, as well as embedding these standards within our culture.”

Earlier this year, the company – whose CyberSafe software helps SMEs detect IT vulnerabilities – was backed by £500,000 North East Venture Fund support, which it said would help bolster its platform and customer base.
