Sunderland’s Blueocto launches recruitment drive after £30,000 backing

A web agency is creating jobs after securing five-figure investment.

Blueocto says it will make at least two hires following £30,000 backing from the North East Small Loan Fund Supported by The European Regional Development Fund.

Boss Caroline Hagan says the cash will also help the Sunderland-based firm take on more projects and extend business development and marketing activity.

Caroline said: “The past three years have seen Blueocto begin to grow in the way I believed it could, and we’re now looking to take the business to the next level.

“We have an excellent team in place, but we know we need more capacity if we’re going to go after more contracts and fully realise the business’ potential.”

Blueocto obtained its financial support through NEL Fund Managers.

Carolyn McGregor, business development executive at the organisation, added: “The progress Blueocto has made over the last three years demonstrates the robustness of the company’s business model, and they now have the resources required to take the next steps on their growth journey.”

Offering services such as website design, audits and SEO, Blueocto also works with clients to deliver Shopify and other ecommerce solutions.
