Sponsoring this year’s ‘Excellence & Positive Impact’ category is Jackson Hogg, a recruitment, HR and training specialist, focusing on STEM industries across the UK and internationally. They are committed to celebrating the transformative impact the HR industry has in the North-East. Here, North East Times sat down with Jackson Hogg to discuss their partnership with the HR&D Awards, what this award means for people practices.
What motivated you to become a sponsorship partner of the 2024 HR&D Awards?
We really wanted to celebrate the impact all our HR&D network has in the North-East. The community makes such a difference to businesses in the region, and we are very proud to be able to shout about that.
How do you support professional development and career growth opportunities for your employees?
At Jackson Hogg we have developed an extensive competency framework, which paired with our frequent training sessions allows our employees to develop their careers at their own pace, always with the full knowledge of what they need to do to progress to the next stage.
What impact do you hope to make in celebrating and promoting excellent people practices within the industry?
We help businesses excel at what they do by helping them grow at a pace that suits them, and we hope to encourage all the individuals in the HR&D community to push the industry forward through the excellent people practices that we see our network developing on a daily basis.
As a sponsorship partner of the Excellence & Positive Impact Award, why is this important in people practices and business?
Studies show year after year that candidates are looking to make an impact in their next role, whatever it is, and this is plain to see in the HR&D sector. By striving for excellence in HR&D, we can make sure that employees are happy and businesses stay innovative.
