PervasID, a radio frequency identification (RFID) technology firm, has announced plans to expand from its Cambridge HQ to Sedgefield’s NETPark.
From a start-up spinning out of Cambridge University to a scaling multi-million pound business, the firm has ambitious plans to grow its team and skills further – both in Cambridge and the North East.
PervasID’s latest innovation the TRACKMASTER 2X can now deliver near 100 per cent accuracy at a range of up to 20 metres as well as locate the item with a Real Time Location System powered by AI.
Peter Oram, PervasID chief executive said: “NETPark feels like the perfect place to open our new office, there is no better place to grow than within an established tech community.
“It’s a real hub within the region for talent and collaboration and we really want to be part of that success story. I’m from the North East so I see first-hand the amazing things happening here on our doorstep and I’m really looking forward to seeing how we can thrive alongside other ambitious innovators.
“The team at NETPark have been amazing at welcoming us into the community and we will continue to build this relationship with them and others in the park as we set down our roots in the region. We have big plans and the North East is a huge part of that ambition as we create new opportunities for the talent we have here in the region.”
Sarah Slaven, Business Durham managing director said: “We are delighted to welcome PervasID to NETPark and are very excited that another innovative business has chosen us for its expansion plans. Their cutting-edge RFID technology perfectly complements the ecosystem of forward-thinking businesses we’ve fostered here.
“NETPark offers a unique environment that fuels collaboration and growth, along with access to top talent and our dedicated business support network in Business Durham”.
