Stockton’s EnAppSys eyes future growth after takeover

An energy sector data, consultancy and information services firm says it will “deepen relationships in core markets” following a takeover.

EnAppSys is now part of The Riverside Company.

The deal comes just days after Stockton-headquartered EnAppSys announced a European expansion.

Officials say it will operate as an add-on to Riverside’s Montel AS platform, a Norwegian provider of energy and electricity market information.

Paul Verrill and Phil Hewitt, EnAppSys directors, said: “We are excited to be partnering with Montel and Riverside for the next phase of our growth.

“Joining forces will enable us to deepen relationships in our core markets and bring our experience in intermittent renewable dominated markets, data services and insights across the thirty-plus markets in Europe.”

Tom Nyblin, Montel chief executive, added: “EnAppSys will help enhance our ability to support businesses in reducing emissions.

“The company has deep knowledge of renewable generation characteristics and potential grid constraints, and is able to help enterprises balance energy demand and supply more efficiently.”
